How does a nurse become the HR director of one of the fastest-growing companies in the Czech Republic? In the first episode of the Advanto Podcast, Tomáš Křesťan – former HR director of Zásilkovna (Packeta) and founder of the Jobsyno Global agency – talks about his path into HR, transforming companies, and things rarely said out loud in HR.
Tomáš originally trained to become a paramedic. He ultimately put his healthcare and teaching education to use working in HR. His career peaked at Packeta (Zásilkovna), where he led HR during a period of explosive growth. But it's not just about recruitment and processes. „I don't like it when someone says, ‚That's not my job.' I work for this company, and I want the best for it,“ he says, describing his approach using the example of stepping in for colleagues in the warehouses during the COVID crises.
Tomáš is known for his human, fair, and straightforward approach. He favors open communication over unnecessary bureaucracy. That's also why, after years at large companies, he decided to go his own way and founded Jobsyno Global. What led him to that decision? In the podcast, he openly describes the difference between internal HR and freelance consulting.
